GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The
main goal of the consultative meetings is to accelerate the end of child
marriage in Apostolic churches by engaging religious leaders
Ø
To sensitise religious leaders on the negative
implications of child marriage.
Ø
To educate them of their role as church leaders in
eradicating child marriage.
Ø
To educate religious leaders on the importance of
birth registration, quality education and sexual and reproductive health (SRHR)
services in ending child marriage.
Ø
To sensitise
church leaders of their role in promoting and enhancing the realisation of
sexual reproductive health rights and information.
Ø
To partner with churches in the fight against child
marriage
Ø
To strengthen the evidence base needed to design and
implement commusnity informed policies and programmes for reducing child
marriage in Apostolic and Zion churches.
Ø
To understand the doctrine and the churches.`
