Child care unit was erected with the sole aim of championing the creation of an environment consciously tailored to suit the needs of children in African initiated churches and not the children to suit the environment our mandate(child health ,education and protection ) is based on the hypothesis that it is easy to create strong children than to repair broken man driven by the question that without a strong educated ,healthy child constituency what Africa shall we bequeath to the future?For us freedom of expression for the child constituency is not only a function but a value and an end in itself the right to demand birth registration ,adequate food ,access to medical facilities ,education and protection is the very first condition for freedom of expression for the whole society since our children are our future.

To
curb the cases of child marriage there is need to educate parents on how to
raise and protect children. Charity begins at home and thus the fight against
child marriage must start form the family unit if the vision of the campaign is
to be translated into a tangible and desired result. Parents need to be
educated about the Value of children and their contribution to society and not
to view them as passive objects in the process of exploitation.
Maternal Newborn Child Health
It has been known that the
Apostolic and Zion churches have some reservation towards the uptake of Maternal
Newborn Child Health [MNCH] services. The reasons vary from one group to the
other some which are sincere. The reservation has immeasurable negative impact
on the children in the community hence the need to engage all the stakeholders
to rectify this. The Unit believes it is easy to raise strong children than to
heal broken men, therefore there is need to have a comprehensive and modern MNCH
intervention plan for the churches.
